Cancer treatment, one day at a time.
That’s all we can do, right? Take each day, one step at a time, one day at a time. As someone who has been through treatment, it is difficult to see the landscape of where you are going. Each day brings a new challenge and some even come with small triumphs.
There is such power in the mind and in your attitude. I’m not going to quote statistics, but there is a direct correlation between mind and body. What you think about, you bring about. That’s why it is important to concentrate on the good in every day and not the bad – even if you are tossing your cookies after a chemotherapy treatment.
Keep a Gratitude Journal. Every night before your head hits the pillow, NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT THE DAY HAS BEEN, write down 3 POSITIVE things from that day. I remember one day my 3 things were: Woke up, Didn’t puke all day, and Had enough cereal for the kids in the morning.
It really is that simple. Keep in your mind anything and everything positive. Your healing depends on it!
