3 things you can do for yourself to help you get through the tough days of cancer treatment:
1. Send your kids to a friends house for an afternoon. Quiet is golden! Curl up on your couch with your softest blanket. Read a book, watch a movie or take a nap.
2. Put your mind in a place of peace. Listen to your favorite relaxing music, meditate, or my personal favorite – listen to the sound of the ocean (preferably in person, but a CD will do).
3. Make an appointment for a spa treatment when you know a “good day” is coming. Once you know the cycle of your cancer treatments, you will have a gauge of when your good days will occur. Treat yourself to a facial, a massage, a mani/pedi. Taking care of yourself is just as important as listening to your doctor’s orders.
